The Incredible Hulk Website Updates
 Hulk Worthy!May 10, 13
It's been a while since I (Julio) have updated the Hulk Library by writing a Hulk comic book synopsis. The truth is, I was less than motivated to do so because of the shallowness and lack of quality of most of the stories of recent years... See, it all went downhill for me with the introduction of the Red Hulk. Not because of that character per say; I think he's fine. It was because the stories that went along. Except for a few highs along the way, I was disappointed, strongly so. And thus at one point I stopped reading the Hulk... altogether.
But as a fan, you never quit hoping something good will emerge, sooner or later. And fortunately, I think that's what happened recently with Indestructible Hulk. This new Hulk volume by writer Mark Waid is not just one more book in Jade Jaws long 50+ year career. It feels refreshing, cool, and GOOD. Artist Leinil Yu (of Secret Invasion fame) drew the first five issues. But for the newest chapter Indestructible Hulk #6, pencils and inks were in charge of Walt Simonson, an artist who's been around Marvel for decades. He even drew the Hulk before. Walt's style isn't modern; in fact, it looks very 80s. Some may like it, it does bring a nice reminiscence feeling to the comic. Perhaps purposely because such style suits perfectly with the story... Waid tells us about an Incredible Hulk who does something incredible, impossible, unheard off... If you want to know what I'm talking about, read the synopsis here.
During my absence, you've probably read the marvelous comic book synopses Peter Silvestro and Rob Johnson have written for the Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America Library sites, but appeared in the Hulk Library as well. The Hulk was a guest character in those stories. I hope you enjoyed them as much as Peter and Rob have. My sincere gratitude to both of them for their super heroic contributions.
And a thank you to all of you who kept visiting the Hulk Library site through my writer-inert period. I'm glad you're here, and I'm glad to be back.

Hulk Rocks In The Avengers MovieApr 26, 12
Marvel's the Avengers movie came out today, March 26 of 2012, in several countries including Argentina, where I live. This is more than a week before it is released widely in the United States. I went to see it today and I LIKED IT! I won't write the synopsis until it comes out in the USA. But you can check the movie page now, there's info about the cast and crew and my comments on what I think about the story and the characters. My favorite moment? One with Hulk and Thor near the end of the movie; I think you'll love it too.
